COMING SOON!!! MORNING GLORIES TRAUMA/RECOVERY CAFE

Morning Glories Café will be a refuge for healing and hope, helping countless people traumatized by homelessness, addictions, and other mental health challenges. The cafe will provide a warm, welcoming environment where people who have faced trauma and hardship can find community, support, and resources to start rebuilding their lives. Large windows will allow natural light to stream in, and cozy seating areas will be filled with overstuffed armchairs and sofas to relax on. Soothing music will play in the background instead of the usual clatter. Inspiring beautiful art work will adorn the walls along with motivational messages playing on the big screen TV, reminding visitors that they are valued and change is possible! Baristas will greet customers with smiles and learn their names and orders, fostering a sense of belonging. The café menu will include such things as comfort food that are high quality and nutritious along with array of coffee and relaxing teas. Counselors and social workers will be available to meet with patrons in need and connect them to housing, healthcare, job training programs, and addiction treatment centers. Support groups and therapy sessions will take place in the evenings after the cafe closes. Morning Glories Cafe will sow seeds of hope in the hearts of all who walk through its doors, determined to help even the most downtrodden individuals blossom again.

STREET OUTREACH PROGRAMS

Our Street outreach programs will play a vital role in connecting with and assisting some of society’s most vulnerable members – those battling homelessness, addiction, and mental illness. Teams of compassionate outreach workers will directly engage with people living on the streets, in encampments, or in other unstable conditions. Through persistent yet gentle relationship building and trust, they will be able to offer critical services. Outreach workers will supply basic provisions like food, water, blankets, and hygiene products to help meet essential needs. They will connect people to healthcare, counseling, rehabilitation programs, housing assistance, and other social services. They will provide information, resources and referrals. They will listen with empathy, seeing the human behind the stigma. Outreach workers will act as guides, advocates and lifelines for people who are disconnected from traditional systems of care. Their nonjudgmental support can be the first step for someone to start healing and getting back on their feet.
